Art Direction and design for a wide series of seasonal brand campaigns, launches of product anniversary collections and promotional catalogue for a new accessories collection.

Challenge: Following the renewal of Marimekko’s visual identity, the challenge was to translate the refreshed system into campaigns that expressed the brand’s creativity, heritage, and modern relevance. Seasonal brand campaigns, product anniversary launches, and promotional catalogues required imagery and layouts that captured the energy, optimism, and joie de vivre of Marimekko, while remaining clear and engaging across print, digital, and social channels.

Approach: Art direction focused on turning the renewed identity into expressive visual storytelling. Layouts were designed to highlight prints, textures, and products, creating rhythm and clarity across each piece. Photography captured Marimekko’s playful, optimistic spirit, showcasing the human stories and everyday moments behind the designs. Each campaign balanced creativity with approachability, translating the brand’s heritage, bold patterns, and design philosophy into imagery that resonates with contemporary audiences.

Outcome: The campaigns brought Marimekko’s identity to life, making its heritage and products feel vibrant, modern, and accessible. Imagery and layouts captured the brand’s joie de vivre, celebrating creativity, colour, and individuality across print, digital, and social channels. Seasonal campaigns, product launches, and catalogues now communicate both Marimekko’s iconic history and contemporary relevance, strengthening emotional connections and demonstrating the versatility of the renewed identity.
